Hello. My name is David Bowlby. I first became really interested in photography in my late teens. I registered in a college’s associate of fine arts program with a view to later earning a bachelor’s and masters degree in photography at the Rochester Institute of Technology. Life got in the way of those plans and I took a different path. However, I have remained devoted to the art and craft of photography all my life. My interests range widely over most genres of photography and I have created this website to showcase my photography from my days as a film photographer down to the present. I made the transition from film to digital photography and from the film darkroom to Lightroom. I remain interested in both and have a large collection of both film and digital gear resulting from a severe case of G.A.S. (gear acquisition syndrome). I am available to photograph weddings, events, maternity photos, senior and candid portraits.
